Works on the roads in Middlesbrough

A66 HIGH MAST COLUMN INSTALLATION

Enabling works have commenced for the installation of high mast columns, on the A66 eastbound and westbound carriageways, between the A19 Interchange and Cargo Fleet Interchange. Off-peak lane closures will be in place as the works progress and delays may be expected.

A66 ROAD WORKS

Lane closures are necessary each Sunday at various locations on the A66 for detailed inspection works, gully cleaning, repairs to street lighting and road sweeping. Washing of street sign name plates and direction signs to take place until further notice.

Maintenance works involving an off-side lane closure will take place on Sunday 2nd November 2008, on the A66 westbound main carriageway from Cannon Park exit slip to the A19 Interchange.

A172 LINK ROAD

An off-side lane closure will be in place on Sunday 2nd November 2008, on both carriageways of the A172 Link Road (between the A66/ Marton Road Interchange and Longlands Road Roundabout), for street lighting maintenance works.

NEWPORT BRIDGE

The bridge will be closed for maintenance works on Sunday 2nd November 2008. Traffic management will be in place from 07.00hrs until 19.00hrs, with diversions via the A66 and A19. Access for pedestrians, cyclists and Emergency Vehicles will be maintained throughout the works.

NEWPORT ROUNDABOUT

Lane closures on all approach roads to Newport Roundabout will be in place when required until mid December 2008, as part of the North Middlesbrough Accessibility Scheme. Delays will be expected.

ACKLAM ROAD ROUNDABOUT

Lumsden and Carroll Construction Ltd, will continue works until December 2008 to construct a new roundabout on Acklam Road, at the junction of Springvale Terrace. Temporary traffic signals will be in operation until the end of November 2008.

ST. BARNABAS ROAD, LINTHORPE

A temporary road closure is in place at the junction with Linthorpe Road for NGN works. The works are expected to be complete by the end of November and the closure will be in place for the duration of the works.

DEVONSHIRE ROAD, LINTHORPE

NGN have commenced work to renew the gas mains at the junction of Devonshire Road/ Linthorpe Road. A temporary road closure will be in place at the junction for the duration of the works.

LINTHORPE ROAD, BETWEEN ST. BARNABAS ROAD AND CLIVE ROAD

A lane closure will be in place at the above location from Monday 3rd November 2008, to allow mains renewal works by Northumbrian Water. The works have been programmed early to take advantage of the existing road closure at St Barnabas Road and they are expected to continue for 3 weeks.

THE AVENUE, LINTHORPE

The excavation of trial holes is ongoing at various locations, between the junctions with Orchard Road and Eastbourne Road.

BRIDGE STREET EAST - TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE

Works are continuing to reconstruct the carriageway and footways on Bridge Street East, from Queens Square to Gray Street. The development works will continue until December 2008 and although the road will be closed to vehicles, pedestrian access will be maintained throughout this period.

MARTON ROAD/ BROUGHTON AVENUE JUNCTION

Murphy's will continue cable diversion works for NEDL, until 15th December 2008, in the verge on Marton Road opposite the junction with Broughton Avenue.

ACKLAM ROAD O/S RECREATION GROUND

NGN are continuing mains diversion works within the footpath at the above location until 11th November 2008.

GUNNERGATE LANE, MARTON

NEDL diversion works have commenced in the footpath at the junction with Stokesley Road. The works will continue until the end of October 2008.

CAVENDISH ROAD, BEECHWOOD

NWL works are continuing within the footpath at the junction with Marton Way and they are expected to continue until 14th November 2008.

STREET LIGHTING MAINTENANCE WORKS

The general maintenance of street lighting columns is continuously ongoing at various locations in Middlesbrough.

RESURFACING WORKS

LATHAM ROAD, LINTHORPE

Carriageway resurfacing works, involving a temporary road closure, are continuing at the above location.

BRECKON HILL ROAD

Carriageway resurfacing is scheduled to commence on Tuesday 4th November 2008.

FAKENHAM ROAD, WHINNEY BANKS

Carriageway resurfacing is scheduled to commence on 13th November 2008.

FOOTPATH WORKS

RAINSFORD CRESCENT

Works are ongoing to replace grass verges with tarmac, between no's 45-75.

MOORTOWN ROAD, BEECHWOOD

Works are ongoing to replace grass verges with paving at the above location.

MALLOWDALE, NUNTHORPE

Footpath resurfacing works are ongoing between Stainton Way and Clevegate.

MARTON ROAD

Footpath renewal works are continuing between St. Joseph's School and Belle Vue Grove Roundabout.
