THE MALL in Middlesbrough, has really hit the back of the net for a new junior football team by providing them with training jackets.
Darren Miller, manager of Coulby Newham Under-9s football team wrote to The Mall asking for support for the team which was formed in June and needed kitting out.
The children who make up the team come from all areas of Middlesbrough.
And David McNee, general manager of the Mall, said he was happy to help out: "We recognised the great effort Darren was putting into the club.
"His efforts are providing youngsters with an opportunity to take part in sport and have a hobby as well as promoting fitness and a healthy lifestyle.
"We couldn't see children go cold with the winter fast approaching so we decided to pay for some training jackets for the team - and they certainly look the part now when they line up before a match!".
Manager, Darren, added: "We were delighted when the Mall agreed to sponsor the team in this way. It is an expensive business to start from scratch. Getting this type of support makes all the effort worthwhile."
