The aim of the Grand Prior Award scheme is to widen the interest of Cadets by encouraging them to study in their leisure time, subject other than First Aid. The Cadet programme consists of: Communication, Community, Creative, Lifestyle, Our Organisation, Personal Development, Service and Skills, with over 70 different subjects throughout.

Once the Grand Prior Award has been gained by the Cadet he / she can now proceed to the Amalfi Award. This Award is also aimed at Cadets who have attained the age of 16, and must be completed by their 25th birthday. The Award runs along side the Duke of Edinburgh Award, thereby complimenting each other.
