Very busy recently attending craft fairs...
But, while tucking in to a delicious rum n raisin ice cream in the sunshine yesterday, I thought how lucky we are with such beautiful places on our doorstep.
Helmsley is the place I was in yesterday - fantastic drive on the B1257 from Stokesley to Helmsley (bikers voted it the 2nd best drive in the UK!). And, one of my favourite places, the Star Inn, is just outside Helmsley in a lovely picture postcard little village called Harome - a Michelin starred resturant with a thatched roof. Stopped there for a wedding anniversary - but book in advance!
Recently I've also been to Staithes and Goathland doing craft fairs - lovely places!
Today, - James Cook Hospital for the living well event. It's always well attended and organised in conjunction with the hospital South Side Radio. Pics and quotes are put on their website after the event too. Had a pic taken last time with the current Miss York: she about 6'+ , me 5'2''....
