Linx Project works with King's Manor pupils

Youth Health Workers, Becky Roberts and John Burns have been working with a group of young men from King’s Manor School. The group of 4 young people, Colin Smith, Liam Devine, Josh Doi and Adam Fenwick have been attending Linx since September 06 with their Mentor Maria Cable.

The young men have been working hard towards their Bronze Award for the Duke of Edinburgh Scheme and have so far completed the Sports and Skills Sections of the award. They are now near completion of the Service Section where they have been doing their bit for the community.

litter-3.jpgSo far the group have participated in Litter Picking, Gardening for the Elderly and Leaflet Dropping.

They hope to organise a Coffee Morning for the elderly and bag packing sessions. They have applied for the funding to carry out their Expedition Section to the Youth Opportunity Fund to complete this qualification.
