Well it's that time of year again, the weather's getting warmer, the fish are starting to surface.
Now is the time to clean out pond filters and clean or replace sponges. Don't forget to check that pumps are clean and that uv's are working correctly, if needed replace tubes and damaged Quartz sleeves.
If you have duckweed it needs to be netted out to prevent you being plagued with it. Additionally spruce up your pond plants by removing any dead leaves and re-potting any plants into larger baskets as and when required.

Don't forget to check your fish for disease i.e whitespot, ulcers, finrot etc. When introducing new fish into your pond, float the bag with fish in for about 15 mins, then open the bag and allow some of your pond water to enter. Float the bag for a further 10mins, then tilt the bag allowing the fish to swim out. Be sure not to tip the bag upside down as this can cause stress to the fish. Hope your pond season goes well.
