FAMILIES are being invited to celebrate a magically different Christmas with fire sculpture and circus skills at The Captain Cook Birthplace Museum and Stewart Park in Middlesbrough on Sunday.
The free events from noon to 4pm also include a variety of craft sessions to help get people ready for Christmas. Father Christmas will be in Cook's Cottage with gifts for everyone (£2 admission).
There'll be lessons in juggling and circus skills and visitors can help create a fire sculpture to be set alight from about 3.30pm - conditions permitting.
Bags of magic reindeer dust will be available to help children guide Father Christmas and his sleigh home. An exhibition on Christmas in the 18th century will be on display throughout the festive period.
