GOLFERS are being urged to sign up for a charity game in memory of a three-year-old girl who died from a rare form of leukaemia.
A year ago Michael and Claire Wren, of Marton, launched The Charlotte Wren Forget Me Not Fund to raise awareness and funds for Juvenile Myelomonocytic Leukaemia (JMML) after losing their daughter Charlotte in June 2007
More than £38,000 has already been raised by the fund and it is set to be boosted further by a charity golf day at Billingham Golf Course on August 8. Tee off at 1pm.
The event has been organised by Andy Fletcher to mark the fact he is about to hang up his boots after a long career in local football.
Teams will consist of four players and cost per team will be approximately £80, which includes a buffet.
