FREE-SCORING girls from Nunthorpe blitzed the competition to be crowned champions in the Middlesbrough Community Easter football tournament.
The Nunthorpe Girls, pictured below, notched a magnificent 46 goals while conceding only two, in the Under-12 six-a-side tournament held at Eston Sports Academy.
Their unstoppable campaign began with a 6-0 victory over Kader Athletic.
Goals came from Chloe Cullen (3), Taylor Hebb (2), and Ella Gallagher.
A derby against Nunthorpe City then followed.
And despite a fantastic strike from City’s Lucy Newman, Nunthorpe proved too strong and the game ended 12-1.
Ella Gallagher grabbed four, Holly Wells a hat-trick, Taylor Hebb (2), Emma Chapman (2) and Chloe Cullen scored the other.
Nunthorpe’s next opponents, Redcar Girls, had no answer to a 12-goal thrashing.
Chloe Cullen took charge of the game and, surrounded by an array of young talent, there was no stopping the in-form Nunthorpe side.
Chloe Cullen notched an impressive five, Taylor Hebb and Ella Gallagher both secured hat-tricks, and Holly Wells netted the other for a 12-0 win.
There were several fantastic saves from stopper Ellie Duncan which guaranteed Nunthorpe the clean sheet.
Into the semi-final and the girls again faced Redcar.
This time the opposition came out fighting and scored a breath-taking opener within five minutes.
Captain Chloe Cullen encouraged her team and once the girls got going there was no stopping the mini goal machines.
The final score was 8-1.
Nunthorpe’s goals came from Chloe Cullen (3), Ella Gallagher (2), Taylor Hebb (2) and Holly Wells.
The final between Nunthorpe and Kader was a tough, fast and passionate affair with some fine North-east female footballing talent on show.
The opener was well worth the wait as Taylor Hebb netted with a powerful strike and opened the flood gates.
Nunthorpe smashed in seven without response to seal the silverware - Chloe Cullen (3), Taylor Hebb (2) and captain Ella Gallagher (2).
Player of the Tournament was awarded to Ellie Duncan.

I just want to say a huge thankyou to jason and garry and my dad and janet for everything that you've done for me i am really greatful and i really apprecicate it!
