Hunt for National Glory comes to an end!!!!!

The year 7 boys football team have recently been knocked out of the English Schools Football Association National Cup. It is the FA cup for schools, with thousdands entering. They had succesfully beat school's from leeds, Sheffield, North Yorkshire and local schools in a bid to become national champions. They faced a very talented team from Liverpool (St Francis) in the quarter final's looking to play a team from either Nottingham or Telford. Nunthorpe played some great football and should have walked away with the victory, however they ended up losing 1-0. The boys where dissapointed and are looking forward to continue the success in years to come. A big thank to Mr Purcifer for managing and guiding his team to the quater final's. This is the furthest the school has reached at year 7 level and equals the best the school has done in it's history. The SPORT Faculty would like to say well done to every student who has played for the year 7 team, you have put Nunthorpe on the map as a force to be reckoned with in the football community.

We'd like to hear from you. Join us and send your stories and pictures.
