Coulby Newham Fire Brigade will be calling in at Sainsbury's Middlesbrough on Thursday 13th September to promote fire safety which with the supermarkets fire safety week.
The fire brigade will be on hand to answer any questions customers and colleagues have and hand out leaflets on fire safety. The officers will be arrive by fire engine at 2pm and will be on hand all afternoon for any queries.
Local fundraisers will also be instore on Friday 14th and Saturday 15th September raising valuable funds for the Great North Air Ambulance by holding tombolas and raffles throughout both days. The fundraisers aim is to raise £10,000 by the end of the year with the total standing at £4,000 so far.
Two Sainsbury's colleagues Claire Booty and Emma Johnston will also be raising funds for the Great North Air Ambulance on Sunday 16th Septemeber by taking part in the Middlesbrough 10k run in memory of Michael Burns who was helped by the Great North Air Ambulance. Claire and her family have so far raised over £6,000 for the appeal by holding a charity night where Michael's band played to over 1000 guests, a charity football match and a coast to coast bike ride.
