YOUNG Teesside film makers with a hard-hitting message are to share their experiences with people from across the country.
The group from Middlesbrough created the film Get the Message - the story of a fight between two teens - in a bid to warn their peers of the dangers of knife crime. Last month they travelled to London to meet Home Office Minister Vernon Coaker. Now, amid growing national recognition, the teenagers will return to the capital to talk about their film with others involved in similar projects.
The 13 to 18-year-olds from Whinney Banks Youth and Community Centre will run a Making an Impact with Film workshop at the Positive Futures Annual Review: Taking It On event at BAFTA in Picadilly. Crime Reduction Minister Alan Campbell will give a keynote speech at the event on Wednesday.
