Acklam's sides in multiple triumphs

THE Under-17s beat Seaton Carew 38-0 in an excellent team performance.

The Under-15s saw off Mowden Park 31-7.

It was a convincing win by Acklam against a determined Mowden Park team.

Tom Finley (wing) opened the scoring with a try and Chris Nicholson (No8) scored two tries followed by second row Tom O'Burn with Grant Honzik (blindside) scoring the final try.

Tom Clark, at outside half, converted three.

The Under-14s beat West Hartlepool 38-0.

Both teams competed well and Acklam rucked with some intensity which gave them good attacking ball.

Richard Martin (No7) opened the try count followed by Josh Abraham (No13) running in from the half-way for the second try.

Lewis Catterick (No12) was always a threat with his strong running, going onto score two tries.

Ricky Scott (No10) controlled the game at fly-half and was rewarded with a try after a fine run.

Josh Cook (No15) finished the scoring with another individual run.

Tom Driscoll was the man of the match.

The Under-13s played their best game for some time, beating West Hartlepool 38-19.

Rob Carabine scored their first two tries, both converted by Olly Rowe.

West came back and scored twice which levelled matters.

On the restart it went wrong for Acklam with West scoring immediately but the Acklam lads dug in hard with Lewis Boyce scoring five tries.

The Under-12s were hosts to Billingham, beating them 19-12.

In a competitive game, Billingham started the stronger but Acklam's response was positive.

Adam Harrison took the ball forward to touch down and level the scores.

The Acklam forwards started to dominate and runs from Alfie Cox and Sam Warrior culminated in a try for Patrick McCann.

The second half was just as competitive but it was Acklam who increased their lead with a try from Bradley Gator.

With the game reaching its end, Billingham showed they were able to compete with a try from their forwards.
