HULA HOOPING Teesside youngsters have taken an exercise class with a difference.

The primary school children spent an afternoon under the instruction of Californian fitness guru Kellee McQuinn, pictured above Archibald pupils doing hula-hoop..
The American, pictured, brought a new fitness scheme called Hoop Hop to the Acorn Centre in Acklam, Middlesbrough.
Eighty youngsters aged between eight and 12 took part in the exercise, which combines specially weighted hula hoops with pop and hip hop music.
Miss Kellee, as she is known to two million children in the US who are part of her KidTribe programme, said: "The hoop is an exercise aid everyone can use.
"It's a great common denominator, and when you hoop for 10 minutes you burn the same amount of calories as you would running an eight minute mile."
On Wednesday afternoon the snake-hipped pupils bopped away to the likes of Beyoncé and Miss Kellee's own theme tune.
The workout was organised by UK educational charity Continyou, which wants to bring Hoop Hop to British schools.
Spokesman Anthony Kirkbride said: "We're hoping to get local education authorities and councils on board with this so they invest in some of the hoops.
"They can be used in PE lessons, playgrounds or after school. Hopefully it will start a health craze that'll catch on in a big way."
