SCOUTS, Cubs and Beavers brushed their teeth in a bid to set a gleaming world record.

Scouts took over Middlesbrough's Dorman Museum at the weekend as part of The Giant Sleepover in aid of Save The Children, pictured above a group of Scouts get their brushes ready.
Up to 40 youngsters from 1st Eaglescliffe (All Saints Scout Group) and 6th Stockton Scout Group spent a fun-packed Saturday night in the museum
And on Sunday morning, the Cubs and Beavers, aged between six and ten, joined fellow Scouts across the country in a bid to break the world record for the number of people simultaneously brushing their teeth.
Alison Bone, district commissioner for Stockton, Thornaby and District Scouts, said the event was a fitting part of the district's centenary celebrations, pictured below a group of Scouts get their brushes ready.

She said: “The number of youngsters taking part in the record nationally has exceeded last year’s total, so once everything is confirmed nationally, we should have a new world record.
“The Cubs and Beavers have had a lot of fun while raising money for a very good cause at the same time. The Dorman Museum has been absolutely brilliant.
Dorman Museum education officer Gill Moore said: "It's the first time we've ever done a sleepover like this at the museum.
Like true Scouts and Cubs, they were up bright and bushy-tailed at 7am on Sunday morning!
