Acklam Junior teams that played to-day all won, which is an achievement by any standard

ACKLAM JUNIORS RESULTS SUNDAY 9th NOVEMBER
Acklam Under 17's 38 points v Seaton Carew 0 points
Excellent team performance, the forwards rucked well and the backs handled well which resulted in this comfortable win.

Acklam Under 16's
No game.

Acklam Under 15's 31 points v Mowden Park 7 pointsAn convincing win by Acklam against a determined Mowden Park team. Tom Finley (wing) opened the scoring with a try. Chris Nicholson (No.8) scored two tries followed by Tom O'Burn (2/row), with Grant Honzik (blindside) scoring the fifth and final try. Tom Clark (f/h) converted three

Acklam Under 14's 38 points v Westhartlepool 0 points.
The conditions were muddy on the middle pitch, but both teams competed well and the handling was good with such poor conditions. Acklam rucked with some intensity which gave them some good attacking ball. Richard Martin (No.7) opened the try count with some forceful rugby, followed by Josh Abraham (No. 13) running in from the half-way for the second try. Lewis Catterick (No. 12) was always a threat with his strong running and he scored two tries. Ricky Scott (No. 10) controlled the game at fly-half and was rewarded with a try with a fine run. Josh Cook (No. 15) finished the scoring with another fine individual run. Tom Driscoll (hooker &back row) was man of the match. Conversions Ricky Scott kicked three and Tom Driscoll kicked one.

Acklam Under 13's 38 points v Westhartlepool 19 points
Today on a very wet and damp pitch and with Acklam being a player down I've seen the best game of offensive rugby by the under 13s.
We started with big Rob Carabine running the length of the pitch to score our first and second try.
Well converted by Olly Rowe.
Westhartlepool came back after some hard work and mistakes from our lads and scored 2 tries which levelled the scores .
Half time it was level although Joe Lilley scored a try on the half time whistle but it was not given.
Second half and it went wrong from the off for Acklam with West scoring straight away.
However the Acklam lads dug in hard with Lewis Boyce played like a man possessed,
winning the ball, tackling very hard, saving tries from being scored and scoring 5 tries to boot.
I'v seen the lads go behind before and heads go down, however today they were
up for it. Lewis and Rob played very well supporting each other.
Big slap on the back to all the lads, great team performance, best I'v seen in a long time

Acklam Under 12's . 19 points v Billingham 12 points
After last weeks poor performance the under 12s were hosts to Billingham this week. In a competitive game it was the away side that started the stronger and following a powerful run they crossed to score a try in the corner.

However Acklams response was positive and after good work from the forwards Adam Harrison took the ball forward to touchdown and level the scores.

The Acklam forwards started to dominate and good runs from Alfie Cox and Sam Warrior culminated with a try for Patrick McCann. The backs showed a great improvement from previous week with good runs from Frankie Odlum and some great tackling from Adam Harrison.

The second half was just as competitive as the first with both sides showing some good skills but it was Acklam who increased their lead with a try from Bradley Gator. With the game reaching its end Billingham once again showed that they were able to compete with a try from their forwards. Acklam however held out for the win with a final score of Acklam 19, Billingham 12. A very good game with two equally matched sides and a match played with great spirit and attitude, well done to both sides.

Acklam Under 8'sNeal McEvoy started training this morning for the newly formed Under 8's, new players are more than welcome.
