ACKLAM JUNIORS RESULTS SUNDAY 16th NOVEMBERAcklam Under 17's No game
Acklam Under 16's 21 points v Blaydon 12 points
Acklam U16's hosted Blaydon today with both sides looking equal in the opening exchanges and giving nothing away, until Ben Dickinson intercepted a pass and jinxed his way from the half way to score and then convert. Both sides defended with vigour until Liam Cochran charged through from 20m out and Ben Dickinson converted to end the half Acklam 14 Blaydon 0
Blaydon came out for the second half all guns blazing and scored two quick tries with their forwards powering over to bring the match back to Acklam 14 Blaydon 12. Both sides were now fighting for everything all over the pitch but not getting any joy until Ben Dickinson chipped over the Blaydon backs and then ran on and picked up his own kick and scored, he then kicked a fantastic conversion into the wind just in from the touch line, bent it superbly to end the game.
Acklam Under 15's 43 points v Blaydon 0 points
As the result shows this was a very comfortable win for the Acklam lads. Seven players scored tries, Chris Nicholson, Aaron Greenhouse, Ben, Rory Smith, and Richard Hewitson scored two as did Josh Clough and finally Chester Nixon. Fly half Tom Clark converted four.
Acklam Under 14's 21 points v Blaydon 20 points
Road diversions resulted in the team pre match warm up being disrupted but it did not prevent Lewis Catterick scoring two very good tries early in the game which Ricky Scott converted. It appeared that Acklam were going to have a comfortable game, but the Blaydon forwards gave Acklam an uncomfortable game. Acklam forwards were continuously being second best at the break downs. If Acklam forwards had won more ball then the Acklam backs would of scored several tries. Richard Martin scored the final try which Ricky Scott converted.
To win when you know you can play better is encouraging.

Acklam Under 8'sAcklam are forming a new team at Under 8's which is Year 3 at school and they train Sunday at 10 a.m. and Thursday at 6.00 p.m. Coach Neal McEvoy.
