Acklam hosted Selby in the first round of the Yorkshire Cup and a good physical game ensued with powerfull forwards dominating play, both teams battled away for 20 minutes until liam Mcivor popped a ball to Ben Dickinson to go over to open the scoring and then converting with a lovely kick. Then liam Mcivor spotted a gap and charged through to score and Ben duly converted to end the half Acklam 14 Selby 0.
Second half and Selby still battling all over the field but gordon brudenell powered over after good forward play, no conversion. Selby still battling til liam Mcivor and liam Cochran combined to get Kris Hutchins over to score and Ben converted to end the game Acklam 26 Selby 0.
All credit to Selby they never gave up and battled all game to make this a true hard cup game well done both teams
