Online reader Paul Stevens reports that he's recently been moved to Lytton Street from Coulby Newham detachment.
He says: "I would like to ask if there is anyone is interested in becoming an army cadet. Our openig times are Tuesday and Thursdays 7pm til 9pm. Anyone interesed in becoming a member of the army cadets - not only kids but adults - please come down and I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have. Things you will cover as a cadet: you will fire different types of weapons, fieldcraft, map and compass, first aid.
"Away from the army subjects you will be able to take part in in canoeing, rock climbing, bike riding, horse riding, paint balling, and many many more which is all free. You could also do your Duke of Edinburgh award as well as your Btec. A cadet over 16 years old can do Btec first diploma in public serices this is equal to 4 gcses at A* to C level. As a company we spend three weekends away and 1 annual camp which is normally 2 weeks. I hope to see some new faces around the detachment so I can answer any questions."

if you are finding it hard to locate your local army cadet force detachment try and phone your local ta center or army recruitment

i think it would also teach him respect and how to become a man and not a local trouble maker!!

i go to army cadets at lytton street and really enjoy it we do a variety of different things so you don't get bored
i really wanna be an army cadet so if you have any info on where i can become a cadet then i will be more than happy if you could tell me because being a cadet is my dream
