THE UNDER-12s, pictured below, entertained New Marske FC in the North Riding Cup, looking to progress to the third round.

The game only just went ahead though after horrendous rain the previous day and both sides had to cope with strong winds.
Cleveland opened the scoring when a great ball by Klymaytys found the feet of Makka on the right who beat two men before delivering a fine cross to Butler who made a volley into the back of the net.
Marsay entered the game at half time and it didn't take very long for him to make his mark as he set up Butler who made the scores 2-0.
New Marske then rolled up their sleeves and scored twice to level the scores at 2-2.
This rallied Cleveland and they more or less took the lead straight from kick-off, when Makka decided to take the game by the scruff of the neck and fired into the bottom corner.
But the goal was again cancelled out by an equaliser from New Marske.
Reeve and Smith came on for Cleveland and Reeve made an immediate impact with a great run down the left, before he delivered a ball to Butler who unleashed a shot into the roof of the net for his hat-trick to make it 4-3.
Cleveland were now in command of the game and hit a fifth goal with a sublime overhead kick from Bligh.
Butler hit a scorcher from 25 yards out before New Marske pulled another back to make it 6-4.
Bligh completed the scoring to seal an impressive 7-4 victory.
