THE final part of North Ormesby Health Village will open its doors on Friday, giving Middlesbrough patients access to NHS dentists.
Dentist Charles Daniels, who currently runs the Kings Road Dental Practice in North Ormesby, will be moving to the new purpose-built facility.
The practice will welcome existing and new patients to the health village which already houses a walk-in health centre and pharmacy.
Mr Daniels will offer Saturday morning and late night NHS appointments as well as NHS appointments to people who cannot find a dentist.
He said: "We have provided dental care for North Ormesby and beyond for over 50 years, looking after some 10,000 patients. In conjunction with the forward thinking of Middlesbrough Primary Care Trust, patients who have been loyal to us over the years now have the opportunity to experience dentistry in a 21st Century setting."
Andrew Darke, managing director of Assura Properties which funded the development, said: "The dental practice completes the vision for a health village that provides a wide range of primary care services in one location."
