TOP of the Table Cleveland Juniors Under-10s entertained Nunthorpe on a cold and windy morning looking to remain leaders of the pack.
And they delivered in irresistible fashion.
Nunthorpe started confidently and attacked Cleveland from the start, however Joe Lloyd was not forced into a save in the first half thanks to Luke Hughes and Hamza Shabir tackling anything that moved in front of goal.
Marcellus Kerr's pace was proving a constant threat, however, as he marauded down the right wing at will.
With Josh Smith away, Luke Childs filled the central midfield role admirably and was unlucky with a couple of shots which might easily have ended up in the back of the net.
With Kerr tormenting down the right, Anthony Renton torturing down the left, and Josef Edwards creating problems with some smart lay offs and some great passes, Nunthorpe were fully stretched when Cleveland attacked.
And it wasn't long before they scored the first goal.
Anthony Renton split the defence with a killer through ball to Kerr.
Kerr was in top form against Marton Hall Drive last week and continued that form as he darted past the defence and slotted home the opener.
Renton was the architect again as Cleveland doubled the lead in the second half, Kerr sent Anthony Renton away down the left. And his superb cross was placed into the top corner with a perfect combination of power and precision by Josef Edwards.
Spurred on by the two goals, Cleveland were in complete control.
For all their dominance of territory and possession, Nunthorpe's speed on the counter meant they could not afford any lapses in concentration.
Lloyd showed great reflexes late on to make some vital saves.
Childs then went close to increasing Cleveland's lead when he went one-on-one with the keeper in the dying minutes. But the keeper rushed out and blocked his shot as the game ended 2-0.
Man of the match was Josef Edwards - a tireless competitor, never shirking a challenge and always happy to get the ball and give it to those around him.
