CANON Bruce Grainger, now living in Keighley, North Yorkshire, wonders if any readers could help with information about his relatives.
His grandparents, John William and Annie Eliza Grainger, lived in North Ormesby Road, Middlesbrough, for a considerable time and his grandfather died there in 1929.
He writes: “My grandmother eventually seems to have gone to live with her youngest daughter, Grace, in Grange Road and died there in 1945.
“My father, James Grainger, lost touch with his family long before I was born, but my record searches show that his youngest sister, Grace, married Daniel Connor in Middlesbrough in 1927 and they had at least three children - Daniel in 1928, Grace in 1933 and Leonard in 1934.
“Over many years of searching I have only ever met one Grainger relative but I would love to know if anyone in the area has any knowledge or memories of my grandparents, aunt, uncle and cousins.�
