A LOOK back at Saltburn's history will be given to members of Saltburn and District Retired Men's Forum on Monday.
Local historians Cath and Tony Lynn will show a silent DVD of celebrations in 1961 to mark the first 100 years of the town's existence.
A committee has now been set up to prepare celebrations to mark the 150th anniversary, in 2011.
Reg Blacklock, who was re-elected chairman for the sixth year, said the forum had heard a wide variety of talks during the year. He thanked all who contributed and mourned the passing of three members - Bill Hall, Bill Hill and Jack Barwick - during the year.
Officers elected: Mr Blacklock, chairman; Ken Lightfoot, vice chairman; Arthur Corbett, secretary; Mike Morrissey, assistant secretary; Colin Hardy, treasurer; Tom Fenwick, assistant treasurer; Mr Morrissey, speaker-finder; Fred Robinson, assistant speaker-finder; Tom Fenwick, entertainments secretary and sick-visitor; auditors Bryan Wilkinson and Ian Campbell.
