Trinity Mirror Printing (TMP) provides a full printing and finishing capability for Trinity Mirror's national and regional newspapers, magazines, supplements and special products across nine print sites. In addition TMP generates significant revenues for the Group as the largest newspaper contract printer in the UK, serving a wide array of customers from daily national newspapers to student papers, as well as special products and supplements.

A major investment programme, begun in 2004 and completed in 2007, provides Trinity Mirror with some of the highest quality full colour newspapers in the UK, with the flexibility to produce products of different sizes and finishes to suit the needs of readers and advertisers.

Comprehensive inserting, stitching and trimming capabilities give Trinity Mirror titles the ability to add value by inserting pre-printed sections, posters and readers offers thereby generating a whole new revenue stream of commercial opportunities.

Trinity Mirror Printing was created in 2005, by combining all our national and regional print sites into a unified print network, to provide a market leading service to the Group's own titles, whilst minimising capital and operational expenditure.

The creation of a unified print network has enabled the Group to invest in full colour and finishing capability for its national and regional titles and in many cases well ahead of the competition. It has also enabled us to develop a valuable new contract print revenue stream, a key strategic objective which is helping to diversify our revenue base with secure, long term contracts.

Contract printing revenues constitute over 40% of Trinity Mirror Printing's turnover. The bulk of this revenue comes from long term printing agreements with major publishers, including the Independent, the Daily Mail, Guardian Media Group, Johnston Press, Newsquest, the Racing Post and the Kent Messenger Group.

With its nine print sites in the UK, Trinity Mirror Printing has the facility to fulfil contract print expectations and requirements for all types and sizes of customers with a high quality, fast turnaround service.
