Whitehouse had previously worked in Phoenix, Arizona for Major League Soccer before returning home and taking up the post as Manager Paul Cudby's assistant.

The Coventry City Ladies rounded off their 2009 campaign in some style as an energetic performance lead to a comfortable 6-1 win over relegation threatened Loughborough.

Emily Hanson scored twice and had a hand in two others as the Sky Blues carved their visitors open at will. Jade Formaston, Danni Saulter and Nicole Tinto also chipped in with one each whilst top scorer Helen Dermody hit her 20th of the season.

Coventry City Ladies hold their annual awards evening on Friday the 1st of May at the Jaguar Sports and Social Club just days ahead of their final league match at home to Loughborough.

Manager Paul Cudby sees the evening as a chance to thank the clubs players and coaches for a good first season at the helm "I'm incredibly proud of what's been achieved this season all things considered.

The Coventry City Ladies battled hard but eventually succumb 2-0 to their Northern Premier league opponents as Aston Villa picked up their first County Cup in almost a decade.

Kim Farrow and Natalie Gibson both struck in the final 20 minutes as the Sky Blues ran out of steam and saw their chances of picking up silverware this season evaporate.

covcityladiesdsaulter.jpgThe Coventry City Ladies' promotion push was severely derailed yesterday as a first draw of the season all but handed Derby County the title.

The 1-1 result away to West Brom all but mathematically removes the Sky Blues from the title race as they seem destined for another season in the Midland Women's Combination.

Danni Saulter (left) equalised for City deep into stoppage time but it was too little too late after Robyn James had given the Baggies a first half lead.

Coventry City Ladies suffered Cup heartbreak last night at the hands of arch-rivals Copsewood as Chantelle Stanley scored direct from a free kick in stoppage time to hand the hosts a 2-1 victory.

Debutant Catherine Lawson had handed the Sky Blues a 1-0 lead on the stroke of half time but Amanda Whalley pulled Copsewood level just after the restart before Stanley's heroics shattered City's hopes for an historic treble.

Helen Dermody grabbed her 19th goal of the season and Jade Formaston's early lob saw her reach double figures for the season.

Abi Cockayne snatched City's fifth whilst Centre of Excellence graduate Nikki Miles notched her first goal for the Senior Team.
