I kid you not. The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has released a list of items worth more than £100 that have been stolen in the last year or so.

One of the most extraordinary items is a £10,000 aircraft fuselage taken from RAF Kinloss in Scotland between 12 and 31 May 2010.

Between 1-30 June 2010, there is the following listed military equipment worth £16,000 as stolen from RAF Wyton, in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. And £45,000 worth of night vision goggles were taken from HMS Ocean, based at HMNB Devonport, Plymouth.

The inevitable finally came true on Friday as Portsmouth went into administration following months of speculation. One has to wonder if this will be isolated incident at the top level or if more will follow.
